Reiiiy's Central Produce Mart report receiving first consignments of. strawberries, which realised 3s per pottle, equal to 4s 6d per lb. Later consignments realised 3s 4c! per pottle. Ripe cherries realised 2s 9c! ; small inferior is 3d, is 9J pottle. Gooseberries : Choice 6id ; inferior 2?, d, 4jd. Tomato stakes, spraying material, etc., will be quoted personally by our Mr Sanderson, who is visiting Otago Central this week. Christchurch tomatoes are realising 2s id to 23 4d ; locals 2s 6d. Lettuce from Canterbury realised 3s 6d, 4s 6d ; Otago Central lettuce is 6d, 2s 3d dozen. Rhubarb from 2.k1, y}d. Asparagus from 6s 6d to 12s od per dozen. Cauliflowers realised jbia. Cabbage 6s 6d dozen. Green peas from Christchurch 6.Jd, 7.U1. Eggs have again advanced to is 1 id. Poultry is realising extreme prices. Fat realised 45s to 62s per cwt, Rabbitskins up to Christchurch potatoes realised 4sd to sid, and locals 6}d to 7-kl lb. Old potatoes from tjs to 12s cwt. Oat sheaf chaff £$ per ton, Fowl wheat ~s 3d per bushel. We strongly advise all growers to ripen their strawberries before consigning ; ripe fruit realising is 4d pottle in advance of green.
