Land Board.
At last week's meeting of the Waste Lands Board, the following business of local interest was transacted:John Caithness's application for a leaiein perpetuity over 25 acres on the north aide of section 2, block in,: Kawarau district, Ran 348 a, ty granted, subject to the warden's approval, and to be advertised in the nsnal way. A letter from Maeadie Bros, stating that they intend applying for an area of 337 acres on the east side of section 5, block ii, Poolbura district, on Ben, 261 a, wee referred to the ranger for report. Mrs J Jopaon's application for a lease over section 85, block I, Blackstone district, was declined.
