FORESTERS’ LODGE
JUVENILES’ RALLY HELD - Juvenile Foresters from Christchurch and Kaiapoi foregathered. Avith Ashburton juveniles on Saturday last for a rally in the Tinwald Domain and a subsequent court meeting. The gathering constituted the largest meeting of juveniles yet held in Ashburton, and was in every way a great SUCC6SS. FolloAving are the results in the various sports (Ashburton competitors unless otherwise stated) : Swimming 33 1-3 Yards Freestyle—Under 12: R. Burnaby 1, B. Dellow 2, J. Dellow 3. Over 12: H. Smith 1, - Hampton 2, S. Hopkins (Kaiapoi) 3. Dive, open—J. Hopkins (Kaiapoi) 1, H. Smith 2, R. Burnaby 3. Athletics 100 Yards—B-9-year-olds: M. Holland (Kaiapoi) 1, G. Eaden (Kaiapoi) 2, A. Thorne (Ch-ch) 3. 10 years: E. Rollinson (Ch-ch) 1, A. Crabbe (Ch-ch) 2, F. Brpcklebank (Kaiapoi) 3. 11 years: R. Joy (Kaiapoi) 1, S. Gordon (Kaiapoi) 2, F. Yellowlegs (Kaiapoi) 3. 12 years: R. Tate 1, G. Hughes (Kaiapoi) 2, F. Rapley (Kaiapoi) 3. 13 and over: M. Crabbe (Ch-ch) 1, S. Hyde (Kaiapoi) 2, S. Attewell (Kaiapoi) 3. In addition numerous novelty races were run.
In the evening the court meeting was held and the \hsitors entertained to tea.
