POLIO DENIED
WHAKATANE MAORI’S DEATH (P.A/) GISBORNE, This Day. The death of a young Whakatano Maori, reported on Monday as being due to poliomyelitis, was not due to that cause or to any infectious type of disease.
This has been ascertained by Dr. C. N. D. Taylor, medical officer in charge of the East Cape Health District, by whom'the report of a death from polio was investigated immediately after its receipt.
