EAST KINDERGARTEN
CONCERT IN SI. ANDREWS There was a disappointing audience in St. Andrew’s Hall last niglit when a concert was staged by the East Kindergarten Committee in aid of its funds. A great deal .of work was undertaken by members, and a wellvaried programme was arranged and thoroughly enjoyed by those who were present. ' 4 , :; The programme which was compered by Mr E. J. Wood, was as follows; Songs, Mr L. Smith; sketch, Messrs K. Macfarlane, R. Downes and L.' Smith; skipping dance, Joan Parkes; songs, Mrs H. Hynam; action song and dance, Jennifer Morriss, Pat Arnst and Alison Hynam; violin solos, Mr J. Sheehan; tap dance, Elaine O’Grady; songs, Mrs K. Fowke; elocution, Miss Pamela Dawson; action song and dance, Pat Arnst, Alison Hynam and Jennifer Morriss; sketch, Messrs R. Milligan, A'. McLennan, A. Rattray and K. Macfarlane; songs, Mr K. Lochliead; violin solos, Miss J, Harris. One of the feature items was the Quiz Kids, two teams of four, with Mr Wood as question master. _ In all 24 questions were posed, the winning side gaining eight points. Also of a most unusual and attractive nature was “To a Miniature,” those taking part being: Miss J. Knox (soloist), Mrs T. Beardsall (“Miniature”) and Mesdames McNair, Frazier, Y. Clarke, Misses M. Harris, B. Andrew and Y. de Latour. The accompanist was Mrs D. Gordon, while Mrs E. W. Collins had charge of the makeHP- , Mrs J. C. Whyte was official accompanist for the concert, and Mr H. McElrea expressed thanks: to the performers.
