The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather: — General situation: A deep depression is passing Campbell Island and there are anti-cyclones over the Tasman Sea and east of the North Island. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Gamaru to midnight to-morrow is:— Moderate south-westerly winds tomorrow; weather cloudy and cool, with some scattered drizzle or rain, but clearing from the south during tomorrow. ‘ Outlook —Saturday: Fair.
