WOMEN’S DIVISION
LYNNFORD BRANCH There was a very good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Lynnford branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. A motion of sympathy was passed with several members who had suffered bereavement. Mrs W. Mackay reported on the recent executive meeting. It was decided to support the United Nations appeal. The roll-call was “exchange of seeds and plants.” A comprehensive report of the Division conference recently held in Wellington was given by Mrs G. Moore. * Mrs French thanked Mrs Moore on behalf of members. A pleasant 10 minutes were spent doing a competition given by Mrs Mackay, Mrs G. Moore being the winner, i Competitions resultsd: Large bloom, Miss P. Bishop 1, Mrs Hack 2, Mrs Chalmers 3; small bloom. Mrs Hill and Miss Bishop equal) 1, Mrs Mackay 3, Mrs McLaughlan 4; prettiest butter dish, Mrs Mackay 1, Mrs Dell and Mrs Ferriman (equal) ,2/Mrs McLauchlan ■ and Mrs Hack (equal) 4; pikelets, Mrs Mclntosh 1, Mrs Dell 2, Mrs Gainfort 3; tomato - sauce, Miss Bishop 1, Mrs I. Robertson 2,. Mrs Hill 3. The' hostesses were Mesdames Hill and C. Noble. Mrs L. Noble presided.
