YOUTHS MAROONED ON ISLAND
CONCERN FELT FOR SAFETY (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Aug. 22. Concern for the safety of the two youths who escaped from the Invercargill Borstal Institution and sought refuge on an islet off the coast of Stewart Island is being shown by the police. Masons Island, where the youths have been marooned since Sunday, has been lashed by a storm, and there is little shelter and practically no source of food on it. The youths- may be suffering seriously from exposure. The launch Helga, carrying police and warders, will put to sea from Bluff to-tnorrow if conditions permit.
