Don't pay high prices for bought eggs, when you can get them inexpensively, consistently from your own hens with KARSWOOD 1 U I have 10 hens that last year were laying only 3to 4 eggs a day. With Karswood they returned 7 and 8 eggs daily a very acceptable increase. At every season consistent egg returns are easy, provided you follow the Karswood plan. PRESS IN N.Z. NO NEED FOR INQUIRY COMMISSION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. “The answer is in the . negative,”' said the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. S. G. Holland) to •Mr P. G. Connolly (Opposition, Dunedin Central) in the House of Representatives to-day, in reply to a question asking for a Royal Commission to inquire into the New Zealand press. Mr E. P. Aderman (Government, New Plymouth) discussing the question, said that there had been much unjustifiable criticism of the press, and the Prime Minister had rightly refused to accede to the demand for a Royal Commission. The only need for a Royal Commission to-day was to investigate _ misrepresentations which appeared in the “Southern Cross” and the “Standard.” There was, however, room for examination of material which was sent overseas for publication. Mr. Connolly said that the Prime Minister’s reply would please the press barons in New Zealand. If ever a Royal Commission did investigate the press distortions, misrepresentations, half truths, and innuendoes would be revealed. Of the 45 daily newspapers in the country, 43 were hostile to the> Labour Party and had misrepresented it.
