INVASION OF FORMOSA HELD UNLIKELY TAIPE (Formosa), August 15. The approaching typhoon season rules out t'he possibility of a Chinese Communist in\ r asion of Formosa for the next few months, a Nationalist Government spokesman said to-day. However, typhoons can be expected to make difficult any Nationalist support from Formosa for Marshal Chiang Kal-shek’q outlying forces on Quemoy Isldnd, opposite Formosa, 300 miles north of Hong Kong. The Communist forces have further strengthened their coastal attack lines by seizing more islets north of Quemoy from Nationalist guerilla troops.
