ISRAEL ACCUSED
ALLEGED AGGRESSION AGAINST EGYPT NEW YORK, July 27. Egypt to-day accused Israel of “premeditated aggression” in a border incident on June 30, ancl said that serious consequences Avould result if such armistice violations continued. The Egyptian complaint Avas made to the United Nations, Avhich yesterday received a eimilar complaint from Lebanon. The situation faces, the United Nations with a rising threat to its Palestine armistice. Egypt alleged that an Israeli force of GO men had violated the armistice line east of Rafah, entered Egyptian territory, attacked the civilian population, and burned their crops. Egypt added that the Israeli attack Avas supported by machine-gun fire from at least one Israeli aeroplane. Thi’ee civilians were killed and a number Avounded. The complaint from Lebanon was that a Lebanese civil aircraft carrying 24 civilians had been shot doA\m by an Israeli fighter over Lebanon. One passenger Avas killed and seven others wounded. Both Lebanon and Egypt asked the Security Council to investigate their complaints.
