DEVELOPMENT LOAN

Tennent) said to-day that he thought there had not been so many inquiries or such enthusiasm since the 1945 Victory Loan. Already £70,00 has been received at the Treasury office, and Mr Tennent estimates that the total will reach £1,000,000 by the closing date. Auckland trading banks, too, have received many applications and inquiries. Thy had collected, to last night, £IOO,OOO.
