Siamese Police To Provide Guards For Cocktail Parties
BANGKOK, May 5. Police have officially advised, through the foreign diplomatic, and consulate post, members-, of the Western communities in Bangkok, numbering about 3000, to . notify the police 48 hours before holding cocktail parties and similar gatherings in future. It is stated that the reason is the uncovering of information that “certain elements” are planning _ grenade or similar violent assaults on foreign gatherings in Bangkok to spread a general feeling of in-, security and prejudice relations between the Siamese Government " and foreign Powers. The 48 hours notification of social gatherings ensures that the Siamese police will provide special guards around the sites.
