ASHBURTON , EXHIBITORS’ SUCCESSES Mr Jos. D. Murdoch, of Mayfield, Avas outstandingly successful at the Canterbury Horticultural Society’s dahlia slioav in Christchurch yesterday. Mr Murdoch exhibited the premier bloom and' champion of champions Avith “Lena,” a giant formal decorative, described by the judge as of outstanding quality. Other awards gained were: —Large floAvered informal, vase of pompones, three first and one v h c in open classes, first in amateur class, J. D. Murdoch; two firsts in open decorative, Mrs Murdoch; one first, two seconds and three vlic in amateur class, G. Scales; gladioli (open), one third, S. W. GoAver/ also four seconds and three' v h c in dahlias, amateur.
