WEST PRESIDENT OPPOSES • FORMATAION (Rec. 10.0 a.m.) BONN, Dee. 4. The West German Chancellor, Dr. Konrad Adenauer, said to-day that be would: favour a German continent within the West. European armed force if it should become necessary, but he was opposed to the formation of a German army. He wa3 opposed in principles to any militarisation of the West German Republic. “We Germans have shed too much bicod in the last two world wars, and have now too few men to carry out such a project,” he said. “West German security is a matter for the Allied occupation forces,.” 4
