APPEAL TO WORKERS

CONFERENCE IN PEKING (ReC. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 1. A Peking conference of the World Federation of Trade Unions ended its two weeks’ session to-day with an appeal to workers, in the western world, “to support the oppressed peoples fighting for freedom and independence,” according to a report from the New China news agency. The appeal was addressed to working men and women of the United States, Britain, France and Holland. The conference set up a W.F.T.U. liaison bureau for Asia.—Reuter,
