DISCUSSIONS ON EXTENSION (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 18. Russia is expected to order more British engineering goods and other products, said Mr A. G. Bottomley, secretary of the Overseas Trade Department, in the House of Commons to-day. He was answering a questioft on how discussions on the extention of the Anglo-Soviet trade agreement of 1947 were progressing. Mr Bottomley added that although it had not yet been possible to agree on certain basic conditions, Russia was expected to continuq_to buy raw materials in the sterling area.
