INVESTMENT BAN

LIFTING BY THE ALLIES LONDON, August 19. Britain, France and the United States will soon lift the ban on foreign investments in Germany, I says the “Daily Telegraph.” The Military Governors in Western Germany had urged the removal of the ban to aid Germany’s economic recovery. It is estimated that an average annual investment of between £250,000,000 and £275,000,000 was needed to make the Western Zones self-suffic-ient. Most'of this would come from German sources, some from Marshall Aid funds and the remainder, it was hoped, from foreign investors.
