YOUTH THROWN FROM HORSE

Thrown from a horse near Norrnanby, a youth received head injuries from whieh he died while on his way to the Ha’wera Hosptial to-day. He was

Mervyn Paul Stachurski, aged 17, son of Mr P. J. Stachurski, of Tawhiti „ road, Hawera.

Stachurski was cantering his horse when it stumbled and threw Ijim head first on to the roadway. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but was found to be dead on the ambulance’s arival.

BOY FOUND DROWNED

WANDERED ON TO BEACH (P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 19. A boy was found drowned at Northcote to-day. He was Kevin Fraser Ryan, aged nine. The boy had been playing on the tennis court at his home, which faces the beach, and was missing when called. His body was found later on he beach.
