W.D.F.F.

FLEMINGTON BRANCH The annual meeting of the Flernington branch of the W.D.F.F. was held in the scholroom, when the president (Mrs K. Taylor) presided over a good attendance. A^welcome was extended to visitors present and also to two new members.

The annual report showed a satisfactory year’s work. Arrangements were made for the forthcoming euchre party and also the chrysanthemum show to he held in conjunction with WillowbyEiffelton W.I. schedules being distributed among members.

Competitions held during the afternoon resulted as follow: —Fancy teaicbsy: Mrs J. H. Bell 1, Miss M. Dunne 2, Miss .T. Bratley 3; ‘preserved pears: Mrs J. Omelvena 1, Mrs T. Read 2, Mrs R. Read 3; bowl of perennials: Mrs G. Bilee 1, Miss J. Bratley 2, Mrs E. Taylor 3; bloom: Mrs K. R. Sutherland and Mrs T. Read 1, Mrs E. Taylor 3, Miss J. Bratley 4. The president thanked the officers for their efficient. and loyal co-opera-tion, also members for their support during the past year. Mrs Hayman (executive president! occupied the chair for the election of officers, which resulted: President, Mrs K. Taylor; vice-presidents, Mesdames T. J. Bell, «L Omelvena, K. R. Sutherland; secretary, Mrs G. E. Blee; assistant secreary, Mrs J. H. Bell; treasurer, Mrs T .E. Taylor; advisory members, Mesdames K. Taylor, J. H. Bell; delegates to executive, Mesdames K .Tay Lor, G. E. Blee, K. R. Sutherland; committee, Miss J. Bratley, Mesdames W. Shimmin, E. Blain, H. Kennaugh, R. Read and C. Danielson; reporter, Mrs J. Omelvena; sales table, Miss Bratley; competition stewards, Mesdames W. Shimmin and R. Read; judge, Mrs H. Kennaugh; “Hospital Box,” Mrs K. R. Sutherland.

The House competitions for the year resulted in a will for “Bell” House with Mrs H. Kennaugh gaining highest points and Mii-s J. Bratley runner-up. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames C. W. Anderson, F. Hampton and A. Henderson.
