“COMMON PEOPLE FRIENDLY”
(N. Z.P. A.-Reuter— Copy right). (Rec. 10.0) MOSCOW, April 15
Six Russian women, who went to Britain in March to attend tlie ♦lnternational Women’s Day Conference, reported to-day to the Presidium of the anti-Fascist Committee of Soviet Women.
They said that the common people of Britain wanted peace and friendship with the Soviet Union but “reactionary circles are attempting to evoke hostility.” Tatyana Zueva said: “Tlie British people are profoundly sympathetic toward Soviet Union women repeatedly expressed to us their gratitude for the Soviet Union’s peaceful policy, and stated they would not permit a new war against* us, but British reactionary , circles and the reactionary press conduct anti-Soviet slanderous propaganda attempting to misinform the British people and evoke hostility toward the Soviet Union.”
