This may lead to delay < in transmission because illegible words need to be verified. A badly written message may cause confusion or misunderstanding. The address should be full enough to enable the telegram to be delivered Without reference to other sources of information. Include the house number and the name of the street. This will save delay. Experiments conducted by the Post Office have proved conclusively that the use of block letters in telegrams improves speed of handling throughout transmission. ISSUED BY THE POST OFFICE
