GREAT DISPLAY OF STOCK AT METHVEN

-BIG CROWD ATTEND ANNUAL SHOW With entries over the 2000 maik, and •favoured by excellent weather, the 35th annual show of the Methven Agricultural and Pastoral Association, held on the picturesquely-situated grounds at the foot of the hills, to-day attracted a crowd which must have approached record proportions. Everything went with the greatest smoothness throughout the day, under the direction of the experienced secretary, Mr J. F. Stone, while the president, Mr A. S. Milne, the vice-president, IVir J. McQuilken, and members of the committee did everything possible to cater for exhibitors and the general public. Sideshows, all run in aid of the association’s funds, attracted keen patronage throughout the day, while the trade exhibits were easily the most extensive siftce before the war. Another very popular feature was a marching display by girls’ teams.
