RUN OF AURORAE

DISTURBED STATE OF SUN *■ (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The sun is disturbed at present, and, aurorae can be expected any time, and it is possible there may be a run of them. The Director of the Carter Observatory, Mr 1. L. Thomsen, stated this to-day when reports of an aurora seen in Wellington last night were referred to him. Last night’s display is reported to have lasted about half an hour.
