LABOUR “REMEDY” FOR DEPRESSION! WASHINGTON, Jan. 2. Mr Daniel Tracy (chairman of the shorter work-day committee of the American Federation of Labour) said to-day that the federation will press for a 30-hour week to spread employment as soon as the United States economy shows signs of slowing down. Mr Tracy said that the federation has a tremendous educational job in selling the 30-hour week to both labour and management.
