UNITED STATES BUDGET FORECAST WASHINGTON, Jan. 5. Congressmen who had a preview of President Truman’s Budget at a conference with him to-day, said that Congress might be asked for 41,900,000,000 dollars to finance the Government in the financial year beginning on July T, compared with 39,500,000,000 dollars requested for the present financial year. _ The congressmen said that slightly more than 15,000,000,000 dollars would be for defence, including the stockpiling of material, and the universal military training programme.
