FIRST DEFEAT OF SESSION
Inquiry Into War Pensibns (Rec. 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 8. The Government strenuously resisted the proposals. The Leader of the House, Lord Addison, contended that such inquiry would carry a reflection on the work of the Pensions Ministry, which had been uniformly praised. Conservative and Liberal non-party peers joined in supporting, the motion.
