RECOVERY EFFORTS (Rec. 11.0 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 8. The European Co-operation Administrator, Mr Paul Hoffman l to-day praised British attempts at recovery and efforts to gain better standard® of living and higher productivity. Speaking at a press conference, Mr Hoffman said: “The efforts the British Government is making to increase output are highly commendable. I have never seen a better campaign to bring out productivity than the one carried in Britain.” Mr Hoffman leaves for China tonight, “as under present conditions, adjustments have to be made in aid to that country.”
