FORTNIGHT’S COACHING TWO ASHBURTON NOMINEES At a meeting of the Ashburton Swimming Centre last evening, Ivan Kermode and Raymond Lord were chosen to represent Ashburton at the coachingschool in Christchurch, conducted by the iNiew Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. The pair will -spend a fortnight at the school, living in billets; with coaching periods every day. The principal aim of the sl’hool is to eliminate faults in the trainees, so that, on their return to Ashburton, they will be able to pass on the knowledge gained to other local enthusiasts.
