1928 ALL BLACKS TO BE CONSULTED (P.A.) WELLINGTONj Dec. 8. The suggested final itinerary for the All Blacks’ South African tour received from the South African Rugby Board to-day was held over by the New Zealand Rugby Union until next Monday to enable the comments of 1928 All Black players to be secured. The section of the tour regarded as dubious covered a periou from July 16 to August 23, in which “tough” matches are combined with extensive travelling. ' Tlie itinerary is now:—May 31, v. Eastern Transvaal, at Springs; July 9. v. Western Province, at. Cape Town; July 16, first test, at, Cape Town; July 23, v. Transvaal, at Johannesburg; July 27, v. Rhodesia', at Bulawayo; July 30, v. Rhodesia, at Salisbury ; August 6, v. Northern Transvaal, at Victoria; August 13, second test, at Johannesburg; August 17, v. Northern Universities, at Pretoria; August 20, v. ARGUS NOT AVAILABLE lAN LOTTING CHOSEN AS REPLACEMENT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. W. G. Argus, the Canterbury wing-three-quarter, to-day advised the New Zealand Rugby Union that he will not be available to tour South Africa with the All Blacks next year. The withdrawal was accepted with regret, and the chairman of. the selection committee (Mr A. McDonald) was asked at the meeting of the executive to-day to take steps to fill the vacancy in consultation with ilia fellow selectors, Messrs N. A. McKenzie and 11. S. Strang. lan Botting, the Otago wing threequarters, was chosen by the selectors to replace Argus. This was announced by the secretary {Mr A. E. Neilson) to-night.
