UNO MEMBERSHIP
APPLICATION BY ISRAEL (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. 7. The Security Council’s Membership Committee referred Israel’s application for United Nations membership back to the Security Council for further action, having been unable to agree on a recommendation. Argentine told the committee that she supported Israel’s application. The United States and Russian delegates also supported it.
