UNO ASSEMBLY HEADQUARTERS (Rec. 10.55 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. '7. Fire broke out to-night in the committee room of the Palais de Chaillott, the United Nations Assembly headquarters. Over 150 firemen we're rushed to the blaze, which was'extinguished in 45 minutes. The fire broke out in an area largely constructed of wood in the ground floor of the “Paris Wing,” and all people on the ground floor iyere tem- . porarily evacuated. United Nations officials and typists grabbed papers from desks and made their way outside through smokefilled corridors. Damage from the flames was not great, but the lobby and tlie Paris Wing 'were ankle deep in water.
