COMBINED PICNIC

SOUTH PARISH SUNDAY SCHOOLS The beautiful grounds at the residence of Mr and Mrs J. Blair, Lagmhor, provided an ideal setting for the picnic of the combined Sunday Schools (Tinwrild, Flemlngton, and Lagmhor) of th© Ashburton South Parish, which was held recently. Favoured by fine weather, the many Sunday School pupils and friends who attended ©pent a pleasant afternoon. Tennis, games and boating were enjoyed, and apart from afternoon tea, th© children were provided with cordials, sweets and ice-cream during the afternoon. At the conclusion, the Rev. R. W. Brown, on behalf of the Sunday Schools thanked Mr and Mrs Blair for the use of their grounds, and all those who had assisted to make the function such a success.
