A small number of health stamps remain to be sold, but it is not expected that they will last beyond Christmas. Special mention was made of the assistance given by the schoolchildren on postmen’s drive day. The children were from the Borough, Allenton, East Ashburton, Tinwalcl and the Convent. Members of the junior and senior Chambers of Commerce had played a vert important part also. Women’s organisations had, as promised, sent their representatives to conduct the sales at the Post Office vestibule. _ Messrs S. G. Macfarlane and J. M. Willoughby had: rendered valuable service through their publicity activities, and the committee passed a vote of thanks to them. The Mayor paid tribute to Mr K. A. Mann for his interest in the. campaign. At present, a group of girls are attending the camp, and they will be there until about January 25. From January 28 till March 15, a group of boys will be attending. The meeting closed with the chairman extending the season’s greetings to members.
