CHANNEL TUNNEL

PROPOSAL BEING STUDIED PARIS, December 4. The British Parliamentary Committee which is studying the proposal to link England and France by a cross-Channel tunnel has decided to submit the proposal to the council for the five Western Union Powers noAV meeting in Paris. A French civil engineer, Mr Andre Basdevant, Avho is the originator of the tunnel project, and is secretary of the French Channel tunnel committee, recently presented a report on the project to the British committee.
