THIRD AIRFIELD

ALLIED OPERATIONS IN ft GERMANY (Rec. 11.45 a.m.) BERLIN, Nov. 16. A third airfield for Allied airlift operations is being opened to-morrow at Tegel, in the French zone. Ninety daily flights are planned initially by planes capable of carrying upwards of three tons. As the result of fog and bad weather only 17,917 tons of supplies were flown into Berlin during the week ended today, which is 10,000 tons less than the usual weekly target.
