RUSSIAN TROOPS IN GERMANY
Reported Withdrawal Decision (Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 25. According to the British licensed German Liberal Democratic Party newspaper “Montags Echo” Russia will shortly withdraw her troops from Germany, leaving in their place a “people’s government.” The newspaper said that the Russians in preparation for the end of their rule had drawn up a series of orders to tighten the Communist grip on the Eastern zone of Germany and that if the Western occupation forces remained in Germany after the Russians left the Communists would launch a propaganda campaign in Western Germany for an anschluss with the Eastern State.
