STOCK EXCHANGE TROUBLE IN

new york: (Rec. 10.30.) NEW Y'ORK, March 30. Violence broke out to-day in the strike against the New York Stock Exchange,. when pickets fought police in an effort to prevent the arrest of a girl picket, and, then blocked the exchange entrance. The fighting lasted 15 minutes. The police dragged 40 pickets, some bleeding from head Avounds but still struggling, into Black Marias. IPolice emergency squads rushed to the area to Avrestle Avith one of the worst traffic jams .in Wall Street’s history. The fighting began as limousines carrying Avealthy Exchange members to Avork began to arrive in Wall Street. Pickets taunted the brokers with cries of “Moneybags! Simon Legrees!” and increased the Avarmth of their language as more brokers arrived. They then blocked the Stock Exchange building entrance. The Exchange, hoAvever, opened on schedule.
