Woman Given Stomach of Live Pig
(Rec. 9.30) COPENHAGEN, Mar. 23. A Danish surgeon fitted a woman aged 63 with a new stomach taken* from a live pig—a live pig is essential to the success of the operation—and doctors say the woman w|ll live without ill-effect, since a pig’s stomach functions in the same way as the stomach of a human being.
