COUNTRY GIRLS

VISIT TO EIFFELTON NEXT WEEK To promote friendship between country girls of the two districts, and to permit an inter-change of ideas on common problems, five members of the Arno Country Girls’ Club, the counterpart for country girls of the Young Farmers’ Club movement for young men of the land, will next week visit the Eiffelton Country Girls’ Club. The girls from Arno, which is adjacent to Waimate, will arrive in the district next Tuesday night and, during their stay in Eiffelton, will be billeted with members -of the Eiffelton Club. The visitors will he entertained at two field days, one at the hospital and the other, it is hoped, at a noted county property. On one evening during the week the girls will join with their opposite numbers, members of the Hinds and Tinwald Young Farmers’ Clubs, at a picture evening. The Arno girls will leave for the south again on Friday morning.
