LARGE YARDING
VALUES REMAIN FIRM: AT TIN WALD With farmers now combing out their dry sheep, the yarding of fat stock at the Tinwald stock market today was the, largest for some considerable time. Up to about midway through the sale values were firm at late rates for good quality sheep, of which there was a fair sprinkling through the entry. At this stage of the sale fat wethers had made up to 49s 7d for a lino of four. The range of values was: Extra prime 46s to top price, prime 41s to 455, medium 38s to 40s. On account of Li 11 Bros. (Willovvhy), shorn wethers made the following values: Six at •13s lOd, S at 12s 10d, 4 at 42s 4d, 5 at 41s 4d, 5 at 41s Id. 5 at 40s lOd. - For ewes, values varied as under: Extra prime 43s to 47s lOd, prime 40s to 42s Gd, medium 37s to 39s 6d, and light up to 365. On behalf of .1. W. Lowery (Tinwald), 3 made 42s lOd, 3 2-tooth,s 47s lOd, and 2 at 44s 7d. D. D. Stewart (Lagmhor) sold 2 shorn ewes at 30s 4d and 3 at 25s 7d.
A springing heifer brought £9 10s, a heifer calf £1 17s Od, fat heifers £l6 2s Gd, £l3 12s Gd and £l2 2s Gd, a third-calver £l4 and a fourth-calver £l4.
