DANES MAY TURN TRADE EAST
BRITISH AGREEMENT EXPIRING COPENHAGEN, Sept. 15. Mr Waerum, the British represen' tative at the Anglo-Danish food talks which ended in a deadlock, said that if no new Anglo-Danish food agreement was signed before October 1 and the old agreement was not prolonged, Denmark would be freed from her obligations to export food to Britain. The only exception would be eggs. According to the present treaty Denmark was obliged to send 50 per cent, of her egg export to Britain.. Denmark was already looking for pew customers. Russia was asking for 8000 to 10 000 tons of butter in payment for 100,000 tons of grain which Denmark badly needs. Czechoslovakia is ready to take great quantities of Danish agricultural products.
