The plays were: “The Green Monkey” (a comedy), “Soon to be Wedded” (a rustic comedy), “Murder by Request” (a dramatic sketch)', and “Hullaballoo”, (a comedy). Responsible for the production was Mrs Hazel Mounsey. The programme was extremely well received by the large audience, including visitors from widely scattered parts. At the conclusion Mr G. W. P. Mitchell (acting-headmaster of the Allenton School) thanked the Lauriston Club for their presentation, and Mr J. A. Mackie (president of the club) replied. At intervals during the plays Miss Noela Stevens, of Lauriston, provided pianoforte entertainment.
