CREMATED REMAINS

FISHERMEN’S STRANGE CATCH LONDON, July 26. Two fishermen, Bert Grant and Bob Byne,' caught a tin box in Pevensey Bay Sussex. On it was written “The ashes of Henry Robert Murray, cremated at Christchurch, New Zealand, on January 16, 1939.” Paper wrapped round the box bore a New Zealand stamp and the words, “From M. S. Green.” The box was handed to the police. Died at Timaru According to a Press Association message from Christchurch, Mr T. L. Jones, of the Cremation Society, said the ashes were probably those of William Henry Robert Murray, who died at the Timaru Hospital on January 12, 1939, and was cremated at Christchurch on January 16. His explanation of the box being in the sea was that it was probably on a ship sunk during the war. t
