ADDRESS ON WORK IN BOYS’ HOMES The monthly meeting of the. Tinwald branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the Central Hall on Thursday afternoon. Mrs Miller presided over a good number of members, but several apologies were received on account of sickness. » It was decided to hold the next Band of Hope meeting on Thursday, August 28. The meeting was conducted with sealed orders, each member taking part. i ! Mrs Chard gave some experiences of her work as a Salvation Army officer among the boys in the Homes. -Many of the boys made good and became worthy citizens, she said. A great number of them were in the Homes through no fault of .their own, but through their homes being broken up by the death of parents and other reasons.
