ANNUAL MEETING' Mr Douglas Johnston is the new president of the: Mayfield Agricultural and Pastoral Association, j ■ Officers elected at the annual meeting this week were ,as follows: Patron, Mr R. J. Mulligan; honorary patron, Mr D. Duff; honorary patroness, Mrs E. E. Fleming; president, Mr Douglas Johnston; vice-president, Mr N. S. Murdoch; junior vice-president, Mr F. W. Allan; honorary treasurer, Mr C. Sewell; auditor, Mr E. Loftus; committee, Messrs J. Blair, J. N. Buiclc, L. P. Chapman, D. H. Clements, R. T. Coward, S. M. A. Chaffey, W. L. Doyle, D. Duff, J. A. Donaldson, W. J. Glasgow, P. C. Grigg, R. M. Mulligan, W. G. Mably, G. B. Murdoch, M. A. Mackenzie, F. D. Morrow, G. A. Marsh, F. L. McLaine, R. Oakley, A. A. Orchard, J. H. Patterson, G. W. Robertson, J. D. Roberts and J. L. Radcliffe. The secretary (Mr W. G. Ellery) was reappointed. The past president (Mr W. S. Greenslade) in his report stated that the balance sheet which showed a small credit on the year’s working, also showed the association’s finances to be in a sound state. He was pleased to report that the show held under his presidency was, a very successful fixture, and he desired to thank all who had made it such. He wished to thank for their services Messrs R. J. Mulligan, B. A. Howden and <A. A. Fleming, who did not seek re-election to the committee. <’ The following new members were proposed: Messrs E. G. Mcon, E. J. Cocks, A. Sloan and R. Wilson. There was an attendance of 36.
