STRIKE IN CAIRO
TELEGRAPH DEPARTMENT WORKERS (Rec. 11.5 a.m.) CAIRO, July 17. No telegrams have been received or dispatched from the City’s telegram otfices to-day following a general si.down strike of the State Telegraph Department workers in a protest against failure to meet their demands for better pay and annual holiday. The employees declared their intention of not resuming work until their • demands are met.
