N.Z. INTERESTS IN THEATRE FIRM

“CHANGES EXPECTED AT J. C. WILLIAMSON’S” SYDNEY, July 16. “Big changes are expected at J. C. Williamson’s following the death of Mr E. J. Tait,” says a Sydney “Sun” columist, Jihi McDougall. “The chairman of directors is the wealthy New Zealand chain store magnate, Mr J. R. McKenzie. < “The rumour is that his fellow New Zealander, Bob Kerridge, who already controls with J. Arthur Rank, most of the New Zealand theatres, will take over the firm, in Australia. Mr Kerridge flew back to Auckland to-day after three weeks of business in Sydney and Melbourne.”
