SALES TOTAL £243 A slight decrease on the figure for last year is shown by the results of Poppy Day in Ashburton yesterday. With a large number of amounts yet to come in, the figure is £243 2s lid. The sum at the corresponding time last year was £273. It is possible, however, that when contributions from country districts have been received last year’s figure will bo equalled, if not exceeded. At the end of the day. when members of the Women’s section of the R.S.A., handed over, poppies to the value of £220 had been sold. This sum included £lO 4s from Fairton and £l3 10s from Lane, Walker.
