Miss B. Fisher, who has been on the staff of the Mayfield Post Office for more than six years, has received advice of her transfer as Postmistress at Tai Tapu. Mr C. S. Clulee, of the staff of the Ashburton Post Office, has been notified of his promotion to the position of Postmaster at Woolston, Christchurch. Mr Clulee will leave Ashburton on April 28 to take up his new appointment. Members of the New Zealand geographic Board are to be as follows: Sir Apirana Ngata and Mr Pei te Hurunui Jones (representatives of the Maori race), Messrs A. P. Harper, J. W. A. Heenan, and J. C. Anderson. These appointments were gazetted last night.—P.A. Appointments to the Advisory Council of Scientific and Industrial Research gazetted last night were: —Sir Theodore Rigg (chairman), Messrs J. C. Andrews and N. L. Edson, Professor E. R. Hudson, Dr. R. O. Page, Mr J. M. Ranstead, Professor W. Riddet, Messrs R. B. Tennent and D. F. S. Wunscli.—P.A. .
